I grew up living all over the Midwest as a child. I spent time in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa,Colorado,Missouri and Nebraska. When I was kid it was normal for me to move every few years as my father worked for a large hospitality companies and different resorts. Reflecting back I believe this is how I got my passion for the outdoors and really picked up the knack for fishing. You can imagine, each state I listed has their own preferred ways of fishing. I fished streams in Colorado, catfish ponds in Missouri, gravel pits for Iowa bass and last but not least...fish with teeth in North Dakota & Minnesota. As I got a little older I was finally able to get myself from place to place with my first truck, a 1976 Chevy. Having this baby made the vast expanses of Nebraska waters well within my reach. I spent hours upon hours fishing any water I could find to wet a line. A year later I got my first chance to be a boat operator. At 17 years old I got lucky enough to have a 14’ flat bottom boat with a 7.5 hp that I could get started most days without using a little extra starting fluid. By 18 years old I began tournament fishing for Bass, Catfish and Walleye. A few years later I met my wife, Linda when we were out with mutual friends and the rest is history. Love at first sight, well it was probably two weeks in to our relationship when I knew she was the one for me. In the early days I think Linda thought I was nuts to get up at 4 am to go fishing, but over the years I can occasionally get her to venture out with me.
We started a family in Nebraska and soon moved to the big city of Denver. New to the area I had two requests when finding a place to live; being near a lake and good schools. We found our spot added another member to the family and then life got crazy. Having my oldest Nick and my daughter Madison took up a lot of time. Some of our best times were spent watching them grow up with all their activities. Great kids and now they are grown adults. I am so glad to have had the countless hours with them casting a shoreline or as a partner in a local fishing tournament. I truly have a passion for fishing and all that it has to offer physically and mentally. I have been so blessed to fish all over and meet great people and also teach people what has worked for me. I was lucky to find friends that share my same passion in All Eyes on Fishing counterparts Mitch and Josh. We love what we do and enjoy sharing our adventures with you. Let us be part of your adventure. We are All Eyes on Fishing, “leading you to the next level”.
